With aligned goals and values, a community health ministry research center and a faith-based global health and development organization engaged in a collaborative community research study. This community engagement portfolio describes the genesis, process, and outcomes of this partnership and research. We describe how researchers, students, organizational staff, and community members uniquely contributed to a study of health, community development ownership, and spiritual outcomes. We share the program’s impact, as illuminated by the study, the benefits for each stakeholder, and the dissemination of the unique results to different audiences. We conclude by appraising our learning, the long-term benefits of this work, and plans for further engagement.
